RUA
Rua, the dynamic duo of Liz Madden and Gloria Mulhall, burst onto the music scene in 2000, enchanting listeners with their unique blend of Irish traditional, classical, symphonic, and folk music. Their original compositions have taken them on a remarkable journey, performing live across the globe, from the vibrant streets of the USA to the serene landscapes of China. Their musical magic captivated audiences through television and film, and they made their mark on countless compilations. In 2001, they signed with the Celtic Collections label, launching their self-titled debut album, followed by the evocative "Dream-Teller" in 2003, featuring a captivating narration by Irish actor Gabriel Byrne. Their final collaboration, "Whisper," reached audiences worldwide in2007, before both artists embarked on individual paths. The music world mourned the sudden loss of Gloria Mulhall in 2014, leaving behind a legacy that resonates with the haunting phrase, "When Enya Puccini," as described by the Irish Independent.
